Waterfront House, built on the site where Sir Christopher Cockerel developed the Hovercraft, in Hythe on the edge of the New Forest, the property looks onto Southampton Water with its busy and interesting shipping lanes. A mews type house on three levels, set in a square of tastefully designed properties within the Hythe town centre heritage area and only a few minutes walk from village shops, amenities and public transport including the Victorian pier with the oldest working pier train in the world and ferryboat service to Southampton (12 minutes).
Travel links to the Hythe area are good, with the M27 some 10 miles north providing direct access to the motorway network linking London (77 miles), Birmingham (128 miles) and Exeter (116 miles). The rail link to London from Southampton takes around 70 minutes. Southampton and Bournemouth Airports are within a half hours drive. Local buses connect to Southampton.
